NEARLY 30 YEARS OF MARINE INSURANCE UNDERWRITING

In 1995 year, Risikomanagementgesellschaft für Küstenrhein was established in Duisburg, Germany, to provide Marine insurance services to European coastal and inland river shipping clients, who have a total fleet of near 100 craft, including sailing, steam and motor ships plus tugs and harbour craft.

Based at Duisburg on the Rhine River, where it had an annual throughput about 40 million tons and more than 20,000 ships berth here every year, Risikomanagementgesellschaft für Küstenrhein can employ highly talented and motivated individuals, who have rich experiences of marine underwriting, to assist the firm with continued growth and business development.

Through its high quality tailor-made service and with its acknowledged experience in this field, it provides a high-class service to clients across the full range of Marine H&M and property insurance consulting classes.

In 2008 year, Jade Versicherungsberater joined in Risikomanagementgesellschaft für Küstenrhein, and merged to set Shipowners Mutual Syndicate Limited. These two firms were ideally positioned to come together to harness marine liability mutual and Marine property protection and see their position established as a professional, independent multi lines marine mutual protection services providers.

Although the placing of fleet insurance and dealing with shipowners P&I Club calls had carried on for many years, the business was put on an official footing when Shipowners Mutual Syndicate Limited was incorporated in 2008. This enabled the company to diversify into yachts, fishing vessels, ocean-going and other forms of mutual underwritings.

Following the change in the laws concerning International Business Companies Act in 1994 the company address and business were changed to Guernsey. Following the company’s purchase by Mr. Mark Coleman who are leading Galleon Re Group in 2016 year, remained there until moving to London in 2020 year, with changing registered office as affiliated companies abroad.
